US Business Delegation Pledges to Expand Investment and Seek New Opportunities in Cambodia

On the morning of July 22, 2026, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, granted a meeting to a delegation of investors led by H.E. Brian D. McFeeters, President and CEO of the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC), at the Peace Palace. The USABC delegation comprised companies investing in potential sectors including: automotive, agricultural machinery, healthcare, energy, pharmaceuticals, food processing, retail, as well as banking and finance. During the meeting, the USABC delegation highly valued the progress of relations, support, and excellent cooperation between Cambodia and the United States, emphasizing that the relationship between the two countries is on the right path and direction. Concurrently, the USABC delegation expressed its intention to further strengthen and deepen trade and investment relations with Cambodia. The USABC delegation expressed gratitude to the Royal Government and relevant ministries and institutions for their consistent support and excellent cooperation with American investing companies in Cambodia. They also affirmed that American companies present in Cambodia will continue to foster relationships, expand investments, and seek new investment opportunities in Cambodia. Furthermore, the delegation informed Samdech Thipadei about the contributions of American companies investing in Cambodia to social work in Cambodia, related to healthcare, education, and many other sectors, as well as contributions to capacity building, human resource development, and the SME sector. The companies of the USABC delegation investing in Cambodia reiterated their commitment to further strengthening and solidifying their partnership with Cambodia to continue contributing to Cambodia's socio-economic development. In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his gratitude to the American investing companies for their trust and confidence in investing in Cambodia, noting that this not only contributes to Cambodia's socio-economic development but also to the further growth of relations and cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the commitment of American companies to continue fostering relationships, strengthening and expanding their investments, and seeking new investment opportunities in potential sectors in Cambodia. Meanwhile, Samdech Thipadei highlighted to the USABC delegation the policies and necessary measures implemented by the Cambodian government to support the success of investors in Cambodia. He specifically pointed out the implementation of incentive policies, tax preferences, institutional reforms, and the simplification of procedures to facilitate investors' business operations and maintain Cambodia's competitiveness both regionally and globally. Samdech Thipadei also emphasized the Cambodian government's commitment to maintaining a highly favorable investment environment and ensuring fair competition among investing companies in Cambodia.
