USABC Companies Pledge to Expand Investment and Seek New Opportunities in Cambodia
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met with a delegation of investors from the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) on the 22nd. The delegation expressed eagerness to further expand investments and seek new opportunities in Cambodia, praising the progress of bilateral relations. The Prime Minister highlighted efforts to improve the investment climate and support measures.
Phnom Penh, July 22, 2026 – Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet, received a delegation of investors from the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) at the Peace Palace this morning, July 22, 2026. The USABC delegation comprised companies investing in potential sectors such as automotive, agricultural machinery, healthcare, energy, pharmaceuticals, food processing, retail, as well as banking and finance. During the meeting, the USABC delegation highly appreciated the progress of relations, support, and excellent cooperation between Cambodia and the United States, emphasizing that the relations between the two countries are on the right path and direction. Concurrently, the USABC delegation expressed its intention to continue promoting trade and investment relations with Cambodia to become even stronger and deeper. The USABC delegation also expressed gratitude to the Royal Government and relevant ministries and institutions for consistently providing excellent support and cooperation to American investment companies in Cambodia. They affirmed that American companies currently present in Cambodia will continue to foster relationships, expand investments, and seek new investment opportunities in Cambodia. The USABC delegation also informed the Prime Minister that American companies investing in Cambodia have contributed to social affairs in Cambodia related to healthcare, education, and many other sectors, as well as contributing to capacity building and human resource development in Cambodia, and the SME sector. In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his gratitude to the American investment companies for their trust and confidence in investing capital in Cambodia. He noted that this not only contributes to Cambodia's socio-economic development but also to the strengthening of relations and cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the commitment of American companies to continue fostering relationships, strengthening and expanding their investments, and seeking new investment opportunities in Cambodia. He also highlighted the Royal Government of Cambodia's policies and measures to support the success of investors in Cambodia, including incentive policies, tax concessions, institutional reforms, and procedural simplification to facilitate investors' business operations and maintain Cambodia's competitiveness both regionally and globally. The Prime Minister stressed the Royal Government of Cambodia's commitment to maintaining a highly favorable and equitable investment environment for investing companies in Cambodia. In conclusion, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the USABC delegation to continue engaging with relevant ministries and institutions to seize opportunities for further investment expansion in Cambodia.
