Chiang Saen Port Introduces Mobile Cranes to Boost Thailand-China Cargo Transport

The Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) has officially launched mobile crane operations at Chiang Saen Commercial Port in northern Thailand. This initiative aims to enhance and promote container cargo transportation between Thailand and China. For the first six months following the service commencement, promotional rates will be applied to encourage usage, thereby expected to reduce cargo transportation costs. Chiang Saen Port serves as a crucial hub for waterborne transport via the Mekong River, playing a significant role in the logistics network connecting with China's Yunnan Province and Laos. The introduction of mobile cranes is set to improve the port's handling capacity, enabling faster and more efficient cargo loading and unloading.
