Chiang Saen Port Boosts China-Thailand Cargo with New Mobile Crane

A state-of-the-art mobile crane has been installed at Chiang Saen Port in northern Thailand, aiming to bolster container cargo transport capacity between Thailand and China. The Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) announced that it will launch a special six-month promotion following the operational start of this new equipment, with the goal of attracting users and improving logistics services. This initiative is expected to contribute to streamlining cargo transportation and reducing costs in trade between the two countries. Chiang Saen Port, strategically located on the Mekong River, serves as a logistics hub leveraging the convenience of both land and water routes. The introduction of the mobile crane will expedite container loading and unloading operations, enabling more efficient handling of a larger volume of cargo. The PAT anticipates that this service enhancement will invigorate the Thai economy, particularly contributing to industrial development in the northern region. Future plans may also include expanding the logistics network from this region to neighboring countries.
