South Korean Arrested in Hua Hin for Real Estate Fraud, Alleged Losses Exceed 147 Million Baht

In Thailand's popular southern resort town of Hua Hin, a 67-year-old South Korean national, identified as Mr. Han, has been arrested on suspicion of large-scale real estate fraud. The arrest was made by officers from the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) at a luxury residence in Hin Lek Fai, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan province, following an arrest warrant issued by the court. The fraud allegations against Mr. Han involve real estate investments, with the total estimated damages amounting to 147 million baht (approximately USD 4 million). The CSD had been investigating the case after receiving complaints from victims, and was reportedly considering international cooperation. Local police authorities plan to conduct further investigations into the suspect's identity, modus operandi, and the details of the victims.
