
Cambodia Pursues UNCLOS Arbitration for Maritime Dispute with Thailand After MOU Withdrawal
Cambodia announced it will initiate compulsory arbitration under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) following Thailand's unilateral withdrawal from the 2001 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on overlapping maritime claims. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn stated this is the only viable legal and peaceful recourse.
