The ceremony was attended by 27 invited eminent monks, including the Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, the chief abbot of the Minchaung Thikyaung Buddhist Monastery in Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region, Abhidhaja Maha Ratthaguru Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Dr. Bhaddanta Sandimabhivamsa, and other eminent monks who are members of the executive committee of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, as well as eminent monks who are advisors to the Upattasantis Pagoda Board of Trustees. First, the State President paid homage to the Maravijaya Buddha image within the Sasana Viman Temple and offered the offering of rice, fruits, flowers, drinking water, and oil lamps. Following this, the ceremony commenced with the chanting of "Namo Tassa" three times, and the State President and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, along with other attendees, observed the nine precepts under the guidance of the Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, the eminent monk of Minchaung Monastery in Thanlyin, and listened to the sermons delivered by the eminent monks. Subsequently, the State President and his wife offered Lent robes and provisions to the Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, the eminent monk of Minchaung Monastery in Thanlyin. They then listened to a sermon of appreciation from the executive committee member of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee and performed the ritual of pouring water to share the merits of the donations.
