Cambodia Deports 21 Vietnamese Nationals for Illegal Stay and Work

The General Department of Immigration has deported 21 Vietnamese nationals for illegal stay and work in Cambodia. The department reported to Khmer Times on July 28 that the individuals, including four women, were expelled from the country and sent back to Vietnam. The deportation was carried out after authorities found that the individuals had engaged in illegal activities, including the use of narcotics and unauthorized residency and employment within the Kingdom of Cambodia. The operation was conducted through the K'am Samnar International Border Gate. This action aligns with the firm stance of Prime Minister Hun Manet, who has repeatedly stated that Cambodia will not permit its territory to be used as a base for criminal activities or for those who threaten regional and global security. The government is committed to eradicating criminals, suppressing illegal activities, and deporting offenders without exception to protect the nation's honor and security. Under the direct guidance of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Sokha, immigration forces are actively working to eliminate cybercrime, investigate and arrest masterminds, and rescue victims of fraud, ensuring their safe return to their home countries.
