Cambodia Deports 21 Vietnamese Nationals for Illegal Stay and Work

The General Department of Immigration deported a total of 21 Vietnamese nationals (4 females) from Cambodia on July 28, 2026. The deportation was carried out via the Kbal Spean International Border Gate Police Post. This action followed the discovery by authorities that the individuals had engaged in the illegal use of narcotic substances, and had been illegally residing and working within the Kingdom of Cambodia. This operation to deport illegal foreign nationals is in strict implementation of the directives and legal measures of Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet. The Prime Minister has previously stated clearly, "Cambodia does not allow criminals or illegal individuals to use Cambodian territory as a base for fraudulent activities or to commit offenses that undermine the security of the region and the world. Authorities must continue to cleanse, suppress, and deport without exception to protect national honor and security." Guided by this spirit and under the direct leadership of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sar Sokha, law enforcement forces are diligently working to eradicate crime through technological means, investigate and suppress key perpetrators, and rescue victims of fraud, facilitating their safe return to their home countries.
