Mandalay Airport resumes flight operations from September 13

Flight operations have resumed at Mandalay International Airport in Tate-U Township, Mandalay Region, starting from September 13, according to airline sources. At Mandalay International Airport, an attack by FPV suicide drones occurred on the afternoon of September 10, but security forces were able to thwart it. Following this incident, Myanmar Airways International (MAI) announced on the evening of September 10 that international flights from Mandalay International Airport would be temporarily suspended, and domestic flights would be diverted to an airfield near Pyin Oo Lwin. Currently, MAI has announced that it has resumed domestic and international flight operations from Mandalay International Airport starting from September 13. Furthermore, an official from Mandalay International Airport stated that other airlines are also resuming flight operations from Mandalay International Airport.
