Cambodian National Assembly President Arrives in Hanoi for Official Visit

Samdech Mahathipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and a high-level delegation arrived safely in Hanoi, the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on the evening of July 27, 2026, for an official and friendship visit. The delegation was warmly and cordially welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport by Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vice President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, along with several Vietnamese National Assembly members, and Her Excellency Touch Sopharat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Vietnam, and many colleagues. This visit is in response to an invitation from His Excellency Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The President of the Cambodian National Assembly will lead a high-level parliamentary delegation on an official and friendship visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from July 27 to 29, 2026. The aim is to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, both at the legislative and executive levels, based on the spirit of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability." According to the plan, on July 28, the President of the National Assembly will pay courtesy calls and hold working discussions with top leaders of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This includes a meeting with His Excellency To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Vietnam, a courtesy call and bilateral working discussion with His Excellency Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and a courtesy call with His Excellency Le Minh Hung, Prime Minister of Vietnam, among others.
