Phu Tho Province Leads Nation in Electronic Document Processing Rate

Phu Tho Province in northern Vietnam held a conference to review progress in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation for the first half of 2026 and plan tasks for the second half. The conference was connected online to 148 wards and communes across the province. Notably, Phu Tho Province achieved the nation's leading rate in processing electronic administrative applications. This success reflects the province's proactive promotion of digitalization as part of the implementation of Resolution No. 57 adopted by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Vietnamese government has positioned digital transformation (DX) as a cornerstone of its national strategy in recent years, aiming to enhance the efficiency and transparency of administrative services. The development of e-government is being rapidly advanced to improve the convenience for citizens and businesses when undertaking administrative procedures. Phu Tho Province's example suggests that promoting DX at the local level can contribute to achieving national goals. Under Vietnam's one-party system, national projects tend to be advanced rapidly under the strong leadership of the government. Digitalization is no exception and is expected to be a new driver of economic growth. Meanwhile, addressing challenges such as the digital divide and cybersecurity will also be important issues going forward.
