Philippines Achieves Record-Low Poverty Rate, 6.5 Million Escaped Poverty

The Philippines achieved its lowest poverty rate of 9.7 percent by 2025, lifting an estimated 6.5 million people out of poverty, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). This decline is attributed to sustained economic growth, easing inflation, and a favorable labor market.
