Phnom Penh's New Landfill to Operate in 2027, Meeting International Standards
Phnom Penh will commence operations at a new landfill on January 1, 2027. Located in Angsnoul District, Kandal Province, the 143-hectare site is built to international standards and will replace the current landfill in Dangkor District. While monthly revenue from waste disposal is projected at approximately $2 million, operational costs are expected to exceed this figure.
