Cambodia's Senate Endorses UNCLOS Conciliation for Maritime Dispute with Thailand

The Cambodian Senate has fully backed the government's decision to initiate compulsory conciliation proceedings under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) to resolve overlapping maritime claims with Thailand. This move follows Thailand's withdrawal from the 2001 MoU, which had served as the bilateral negotiation framework for over 25 years.
