President Prabowo Holds Limited Meeting with Ministers, Energy and Food Security Likely Focus

President Prabowo Subianto summoned a number of ministers and agency leaders to attend a limited meeting (ratas) at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday afternoon, after inaugurating the new route of the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai. The ranks of state officials arrived at the Palace around 16.00 WIB. Some of them include Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Coordinating Minister for Food and Agriculture Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara, Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency Dony Oskaria, and Governor of Bank Indonesia Destry Damayanti. Then, there is also the Minister of Investment and Industrialization who is also the CEO of Danantara Rosan Perkasa Roeslani. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, when asked by reporters before entering the meeting room, explained that the meeting would discuss several government steps to meet domestic energy needs. "Today we will hold a meeting with the President regarding several steps in order to meet the energy needs in our country," said Bahlil in response to a journalist's question. Bahlil continued that he would also report to the President about the plan to develop and utilize the potential of energy in the country. "We will encourage fuel above B50 yes," said Bahlil. Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Food and Agriculture Zulkifli Hasan said that he could only speak more after attending the meeting. However, Zulhas - the popular nickname of Zulkifli Hasan - still answered reporters' questions regarding the latest conditions regarding the adequacy of a number of strategic food commodities in the country.
