Jokowi Visits NTT, Greeted by Volunteers and PSI Cadres

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has departed for a political safari to East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province on Friday (31/7) morning. Utje Gustaaf Patty, the custodian of Rumah Juang Relawan Jokowi, stated that Jokowi would arrive in Kupang on Friday afternoon. He will be directly welcomed by a number of volunteer elements and also cadres of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). Some of the volunteers who will welcome Jokowi's arrival include BRN NTT, PasGibran NTT, DPW Team Garuda 08 NTT, BARA NUSA NTTl, GAJAH SOLID NUSANTARA (GSN), SOLMET NTT, and Alap-alap NTT. He explained that all these volunteer elements operate under one command, namely Rumah Juang 2 (RJ2). "All of Jokowi's brothers and sisters in NTT, who are a combination of the community, all volunteer elements, and PSI party cadres, are ready to unite to welcome Jokowi's presence," Utje said in a written statement. According to him, Jokowi holds a special place in the hearts of the NTT people. Utje considers it natural for Jokowi's arrival to bring enthusiasm from residents and all volunteers. "Many community representatives have asked when Jokowi will come to NTT? There is a great longing, like the feeling of longing for a family member who has not been met for a long time," he said. Meanwhile, the Chairman of DPW PSI NTT, Christian Widodo, revealed the reason for Jokowi's visit to NTT. According to him, Jokowi came because of an invitation from the community. "The people of NTT miss the moments when Jokowi visited them during his 10 years as President of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, the community is very enthusiastic to welcome Jokowi's safari agenda to NTT," he said. During his 3-day stay in NTT, Jokowi is scheduled to attend the PSI NTT Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda). He hopes that Jokowi's presence at the Rakorda will boost the spirit of PSI cadres throughout NTT, making them more influential locally and nationally. Jokowi is scheduled to conduct a political safari in NTT from July 31 to August 2. This is the second province after Jokowi's political safari to Lampung previously.
