G Adventures Pledges Contribution to Cambodia's Tourism Development

On the morning of September 23, 2026, at the Peace Palace, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Hun Manet granted a meeting to Mr. Bruce Poon Tip, founder of G Adventures, and his colleagues. G Adventures is organizing the GX Summit 2026 in Cambodia, taking place from September 23 to 28, 2026, with an expected participation of approximately 700 delegates. During the meeting, the founder of G Adventures expressed his profound gratitude to the Cambodian government for allowing the organization of the GX Summit 2026. He stated that this event will significantly contribute to showcasing Cambodia's tourism potential to the world. Mr. Poon Tip also commended the government's vision and strategy for tourism development, noting its alignment with G Adventures' core mission of developing community-based tourism to improve the livelihoods and reduce poverty of local residents. He highlighted that Cambodia possesses abundant cultural tourism resources and numerous natural attractions, making it a highly appealing destination for both domestic and international tourists. Furthermore, Mr. Bruce Poon Tip emphasized G Adventures' commitment to contributing to Cambodia's tourism development. The company aims to transform Cambodia into a popular destination for international tourists through collaboration with international travel agencies, media, and prominent content creators, thereby showcasing Cambodia's beauty and attractions, and presenting it to the world as a safe, warm, and welcoming destination with friendly Cambodian people. In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet thanked G Adventures for choosing Cambodia as the host for this significant global event. He stressed that the presence of international delegates is crucial in demonstrating the reality of Cambodia's tourism potential to the world. The Prime Minister also highlighted the government's tourism development policy, which prioritizes the development of eco-tourism and community-based tourism. He emphasized the government's support for tourism communities through the development of necessary infrastructure, strengthening the capacity of local communities, and encouraging private sector participation, while placing the interests of local communities at the core. Additionally, the Prime Minister mentioned the development of new tourism products, such as tour packages connecting key regions of Cambodia, including Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and surrounding areas. He also touched upon the modernization of the visa system and the simplification of immigration procedures to facilitate easier entry for tourists and travelers to Cambodia.
