PHNOM PENH, July 30, 2026 (KPT) — Phoenix Voyages Group Limited plans to expand its investment and business operations in Cambodia, strengthening cooperation with the government to promote the country’s tourism and culture internationally, the company announced Thursday. Edouard George, president of Phoenix Voyages, outlined these plans during a meeting with Prime Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet at the Peace Palace. He also briefed the premier on preparations for the 10th edition of the Angkor Ultra Trail, scheduled for January 2027, which will mark the event’s 10th anniversary in Cambodia. George thanked the government and relevant ministries for supporting previous editions of the long-distance trail-running competition and stated that the company is considering additional sporting and cultural events to contribute to Cambodia’s tourism development. He reaffirmed Phoenix Voyages’ commitment to working with Cambodian authorities to promote the country’s tourism and culture globally and attract more international visitors. Samdech Thipadei welcomed the company’s continued investment and expansion plans, noting that the government is working to strengthen the tourism sector through measures including improving tourist safety, reducing travel costs, enhancing service quality, and organizing sporting events, exhibitions, and other activities to complement Cambodia’s cultural and heritage attractions. He encouraged Phoenix Voyages to continue close cooperation with authorities to ensure the success of the 10th Angkor Ultra Trail and further contribute to Cambodia’s tourism growth.
