According to the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, four fuel oil tankers arrived at Thilawa port. These four fuel oil tankers arrived on July 26. The fuel oil they carried was found to meet the specified quality standards upon inspection, and unloading operations are underway to store the fuel oil in tanks at the respective terminals, the ministry said. The Ministry of Electricity and Energy is implementing supply plans to ensure the continuous arrival of fuel oil from abroad and to prevent fuel oil shortages at fuel stations. It is also supervising and inspecting the entire supply chain to ensure that the supplied fuel oil reaches consumers. Furthermore, it is inspecting and approving fuel oil purchase permits (POs) based on sales volume, ensuring that fuel oil retailers purchase fuel oil based on actual demand and actual purchase orders (POs), and inspecting QR code/barcode sales lists using technology. The ministry also announced that it is conducting inspections and supervision to monitor and take action on GPS routes installed on vehicles for the transportation routes of fuel oil from Thilawa terminals to designated retail outlets and businesses by fuel oil transport vehicles.
