Vietnam Honors Fallen Heroes, Pledges Continued Development

In a solemn ceremony, participants laid wreaths, offered incense and observed a minute's silence in honour of the Vietnamese and Lao martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the national liberation, independence and freedom of both countries. NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man paid tribute to fallen heroes in Ho Chi Minh City. Party and State leaders reaffirmed their commitment to national liberation, independence, and freedom, honoring the sacrifices and contributions of the people. General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President To Lam sent a congratulatory message to Cuba's First Secretary of the Communist Party and President, emphasizing the importance of bilateral relations. Deputy Chairwoman of the NA Standing Committee Nguyen Thuy Hien pledged to make every effort to promote the city’s development. Vietnam distinguishes itself with rapid growth, a favourable geostrategic position, and extensive global integration, allowing it to act as a bridge between mainland and maritime Southeast Asia. A recent decree on Apostille certifications aims to facilitate the international circulation of Vietnamese public documents, further deepening its global integration. In diplomacy, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung embodied Vietnam's foreign policy line by acting proactively and responsibly within the ASEAN framework. Bilateral meetings were also held with Panama, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Qatar, strengthening international cooperation. The Thai Ambassador to Vietnam highlighted that Vietnam-Thailand relations have been built on a firm foundation of political trust and close people-to-people connections over the past 50 years. The CPV Central Committee called on the entire Party, people, and armed forces to uphold patriotism, strengthen unity, promote self-reliance, innovation, and creativity, overcome challenges, and work together to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, reflecting the nation's commitment to stability and development under its one-party system.
