President Prabowo Appoints 1,177 New Military and Police Officers

President Prabowo Subianto officially appointed 1,177 graduates from military and police academies as officers of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) during a ceremony at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/7). The appointments were made based on Presidential Decrees (Keppres) Number 69 TNI Year 2026 and Number 70 Polri Year 2026, concerning the appointment of cadets from the TNI and Police Academies to become TNI and Polri officers. During the ceremony, the graduates also took an oath as TNI and Polri officers. "That I will fulfill the duties of an officer to the best of my ability for the Indonesian Nation and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, which is based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution," stated Prabowo, followed by thousands of cadets. Of the total officers, 512 are from the Military Academy, 229 from the Naval Academy, 154 from the Air Force Academy, and 282 from the Police Academy. Prabowo also presented the Adhi Makayasa award to the best graduates from each academy. The award was received by Calvin Tidar Sakti from the Military Academy, Muhammad Rizqi Wira Utama Baihaqi Putra from the Naval Academy, Yehezkiel Bonaventura Yudaniarman from the Air Force Academy, and Harindra Arsandho Tegarbaja from the Police Academy. The Adhi Makayasa award is given to cadets with the best cumulative scores across all assessment aspects, including academic, character, physical, and mental-personality evaluations. The awarding of this honor symbolizes the highest achievement within the TNI and Polri officer formation education system.
