Cambodia's Education Ministry Urges Resilience After High School Exam Results
Cambodia's Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has issued a message of encouragement to students who did not pass the 2026 high school graduation exam (Bak Doep), stating that failure is "not the end." The pass rate for the exam was 84.06%.
Following the announcement of the results of the 2026 high school graduation examination (Bak Doep) on September 2, 2026, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport in Cambodia has issued a message of encouragement through its official Facebook page, stating that "failure in the Bak Doep exam is not the end." The ministry urged students, "You can prepare yourselves again and come back stronger next year." This message aims to encourage students who did not pass the exam to not lose hope for their future and to pursue re-examination. This year, a total of 125,975 candidates took the exam, with a pass rate of 84.06%. Among the successful candidates, 2,022 received an A grade, 8,848 received a B, 23,422 received a C, 44,869 received a D, and 46,814 received an E. The ministry's statement underscores the importance of resilience and continued effort in the Cambodian education system, emphasizing that academic setbacks are not final but opportunities for future growth and success.
