Pailin Governor Meets with Local Representatives, Encourages Security Patrols
Pailin Provincial Governor met with local representatives, village chiefs, and village defense forces from seven communes/sangkat to discuss challenges in service provision and residents' livelihoods. The governor praised their contributions to security and donated supplies and uniforms.
In Pailin Province, Cambodia, Governor Dr. Bain Sreymom, who also serves as the Chairman of the Provincial Unity Command, met with representatives of local communities, village chiefs, deputy chiefs, village assistants, and village defense forces (Prochea Pheap) from seven communes/sangkat. The meeting aimed to understand the challenges in providing local services and the living conditions of residents in each area. Governor Bain emphasized the importance of security maintenance activities in their respective regions. She stated that village defense forces play a crucial role in preventing disturbances to order and illegal activities such as hooliganism and drug offenses, ensuring residents live in peace and happiness. She added that village defense forces can cooperate with the police to ensure good security and order in their communities. Governor Bain highlighted that under the leadership of former Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and current Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Cambodia enjoys complete peace and stability. She underscored that the welfare of the people and the provision of essential public services remain top priorities for the authorities, requiring constant attention to ensure the safety, prosperity, and harmony of every citizen and society as a whole. During the occasion, Governor Bain highly praised the village chiefs, deputy chiefs, assistants, and village defense forces for their dedication of time, effort, and intellect in cooperating with local authorities to maintain security and good order in their villages and communes. She particularly commended their active collaboration with frontline forces in defending the security of the nation and its people along the border areas during the current context of invasion from Thailand.
