Prabowo Highlights BRICS' Key Resources for Green Century

Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto stated that BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) nations hold key resources for a green century. Prabowo emphasized that the mineral resources possessed by BRICS countries, such as nickel, cobalt, and lithium, are crucial for the production of electric vehicles (EVs) and renewable energy technologies. He pointed out that these resources play a vital role in accelerating technological innovation towards achieving global decarbonization goals. BRICS nations are major producers and suppliers of global commodities, especially minerals essential for the green economy. This regional diversity and abundance of resources could encourage strengthened international cooperation towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
