The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia (KCCI) are planning to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and promote investment opportunities between the two nations. This initiative aims to deepen collaboration and enhance practical cooperation in priority sectors between the business communities of both countries. On July 19, 2026, Neak Oknha Kith Meng, Chairman of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, met with Mr. Kim Seong-su, President of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia, to discuss strengthening and expanding economic cooperation between the two chambers. According to the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, both parties exchanged views and discussed key strategies to promote business connectivity between Cambodian companies and the Republic of Korea. They agreed to establish a sustainable cooperation mechanism to support the development of the private sector in both countries. The MoU is expected to solidify cooperation in areas such as investment, trade, business support, information exchange, and the promotion of investment opportunities between the business communities of the two nations. Furthermore, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia stated that it will actively participate in the 16 working groups of the Government-Private Sector Forum, facilitated by the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. This participation is intended to contribute to discussions on key economic policies and agendas, including investment, trade, industry, and human resource development. The involvement is expected to ensure that the voices and perspectives of Korean investors and enterprises are more effectively reflected, thereby contributing to the enhancement of Cambodia's business environment and sustainable economic development.
