President Prabowo Subianto plans to convene all governors and regents from across Indonesia in Jakarta for a special meeting to discuss the 'Indonesia ASRI' (Aman, Sehat, Resik, dan Indah: Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful) program. The president mentioned this plan on Thursday (July 30) while attending a mass signing ceremony for 62,000 subsidized housing units and Rp880 billion in people's housing loans in Batang Regency, Central Java. Although the exact date is yet to be determined, Prabowo emphasized that this meeting, gathering regional heads, is crucial for transforming national development. Prabowo stated that the government is undertaking efforts to transform national development, which requires more downstream industries, factories, and processing breakthroughs. He also highlighted the achievement of food security and self-sufficiency, stressing the need to maintain it. Furthermore, he noted that in a world full of uncertainty, Indonesia must secure its food and energy stocks. However, he also urged the public to protect the environment and control waste, given the unpredictable weather changes and global warming. "This means that we as humans must take the initiative. We must protect, which means we must control waste. And God willing, within this one year, two years, we will make drastic changes. We will control waste, and by the end of 2027, I ask that the waste problem in Indonesia be resolved. There will be no more mountains of trash; we will achieve this, we will achieve this," Prabowo stated.
