President Prabowo to Convene Regional Leaders in Jakarta to Discuss Indonesia ASRI Program
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will convene governors and regents from across the country in Jakarta to discuss the "Indonesia ASRI" (Aman, Sehat, Resik, dan Indah - Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful Indonesia) program. This initiative is deemed crucial for the nation's future progress and aims to enhance the quality of life for its citizens. The President highlighted priorities including food security, energy reserves, environmental protection, and notably, waste management.
President Prabowo Subianto will convene governors and regents from across the country in Jakarta to discuss the "Indonesia ASRI" (Aman, Sehat, Resik, dan Indah - Safe, Healthy, Clean, and Beautiful Indonesia) program. The President stated that this program is crucial for Indonesia's future development and aims to enhance the quality of life for its citizens. "Later there will be a special meeting, governors, all regents I will gather in Jakarta. I don't know exactly when. Specifically to talk about Indonesia ASRI, yes. ASRI, Aman, Sehat, Resik, and Indah, yes," said Prabowo in Batang, Central Java, on Thursday (30/7). President Prabowo highlighted the need for the program's advancement, emphasizing the necessity of developing numerous downstream industries, establishing factories, and innovating processing technologies. He also stressed the importance of maintaining food security and self-sufficiency, which have already been achieved. Furthermore, the President noted that the world is currently filled with uncertainty and stated that Indonesia must secure its energy reserves. Concurrently, he called for cooperation in environmental protection amidst ongoing climate change and global warming. As part of these efforts, he aims to focus on waste management, setting a target to resolve Indonesia's waste issues by the end of 2027. "God willing, within this one year, these two years, we will make drastic changes. We will control waste, by the end of 2027, the waste problem in Indonesia, I ask that it be resolved," he said. On Thursday (30/7), Prabowo conducted a working visit to Central Java. The visit began with the inauguration of the first phase of renovation for the historic Semarang Tawang Station building. After the inauguration, Prabowo took the Nusantara Explorer Train from Semarang Tawang Station to Batang City. In Batang City, Prabowo inaugurated the mass signing ceremony for subsidized housing loans (KPR Subsidi) for 62,000 homes, implemented at 165 locations in 372 regencies/cities across 36 provinces, with the main event centered in Batang City.
