Prabowo Directs 'Danantara' to Support Jakarta LRT Development

President Prabowo Subianto has directly instructed 'Danantara' to support the development of Jakarta's public transportation network, particularly the Jakarta Light Rail Transit (LRT) network, in response to a request from the DKI Jakarta Governor. Prabowo made the statement during the inauguration of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT route at the Manggarai LRT Station on Wednesday, September 16. "Earlier there was a little hope from the governor, Danantara to help. I think Danantara has to help," said Prabowo. Previously, the DKI Jakarta Governor had reported plans to extend the LRT network from Kelapa Gading to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). The DKI Provincial Government also plans to connect the Velodrome to the Whoosh rapid train area. Prabowo emphasized that the central government's support for Jakarta's development is not solely for the residents living in the capital. "Because DKI does not belong only to people who live in DKI. DKI belongs to the whole nation," he stated, indicating Jakarta's significance for all Indonesians. The Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT route is part of the development of Jakarta's mass transportation system, connecting the Kelapa Gading area with Manggarai.
