Vietnamese Foreign Minister meets BJP Vice President, strengthens ties amid BRICS engagement

Vietnamese Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung met with Ram Madhav, Vice President of India's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), during his visit to India. The meeting took place as Prime Minister Le Minh Hung attended the BRICS Summit in India and co-chaired the 19th meeting of the Vietnam-India Joint Committee. Vietnam aims to elevate its international standing and explore new growth drivers through its participation in BRICS. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung met with leaders of countries and international organizations on the occasion of attending the 18th BRICS Summit. During the BRICS Summit, Vietnam delivered remarks at a session themed "Self-reliance, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainable Development," emphasizing the importance of international collaboration. Under its one-party system, Vietnam pursues a strategy of strengthening international partnerships through active engagement in multilateral forums to maintain and accelerate its economic growth. This move to bolster relations with key nations, including India, is particularly significant for Vietnam's diplomatic and economic stability, especially amidst complex relations with China.
