US-Cambodia Business Chamber Expresses Interest in Investing in Key Sectors in Cambodia

Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia met with a delegation from the American Cambodian Business Chamber (ACBC) at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh on September 10, 2026. Sokveasna Chan, founder and president of ACBC, conveyed the purpose of their business visit to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia. She reported that during their visit, the delegation held discussions with leaders from relevant ministries and institutions of the Cambodian government, as well as the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port. The ACBC expressed strong interest in investing in key sectors such as logistics, agriculture, and furniture, aiming to strengthen connections between investors from both countries and further expand bilateral trade. In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet warmly welcomed the ACBC delegation, considering their visit a significant catalyst for boosting business connections between Cambodia and the United States. He highlighted that both countries have considerable potential for expanding cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, and expressed optimism that Cambodian products will increasingly appear in the US market in the future. Furthermore, the Prime Minister underscored the Cambodian government''s vision to transform the Sihanoukville Port into a regional logistics hub and to promote connectivity with major US ports. This meeting signifies Cambodia's proactive approach to attracting foreign investment and driving economic development. Strengthening ties with the ACBC, in particular, could lead to deeper trade relations with the United States and contribute to the diversification of Cambodia's economy.
