Battambang Governor Inspects Coconut Processing Facility for Domestic Market Supply

Battambang, Cambodia -- On the afternoon of September 4, 2026, Battambang Provincial Governor Sok Lu inspected the 'Yani' fragrant coconut processing facility located in Samnech village, Phnom Sampeau commune, Banan district, Battambang province. This facility is engaged in processing fragrant coconuts for the domestic market. During his visit, Governor Sok Lu presented a certificate of appreciation and expressed gratitude to Mr. Tan Sophin, owner of the Yani fragrant coconut processing facility. He commended the business for its contribution to promoting local agricultural products and increasing the income of farmers, thereby improving their livelihoods through the cultivation of fragrant coconuts for the domestic market. The Provincial Governor also encouraged the facility owner to expand processing activities and increase the procurement of fragrant coconuts from local farmers, aiming to collectively enhance domestic products and reduce imports.
