In Phnom Penh, Cambodia, the joint administrative command of Por Sen Chey district has detained nine Bangladeshi nationals on suspicion of illegal stay during an administrative inspection. The operation took place on July 20, 2026, around 4:30 PM, on Street 68 in Chamkar Ou Lek 1 village, Kakap I commune, Por Sen Chey district. Authorities stated that the administrative inspection was conducted to crack down on offenses, targeting houses, condominiums, and rental apartments as part of regular operations. During the inspection, nine Bangladeshi men were found residing together in a house, with several reportedly lacking passports.
