NSPNC and TNLA meet in Nay Pyi Taw to discuss national peace and political solutions to political problems

It is reported that the National Solidarity and Peacebuilding Committee (NSPNC) and the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA) met in Nay Pyi Taw on July 19 to discuss national peace, political solutions to political problems, education, health, regional development, and transportation and communication. The meeting between the NSPNC and the PSLF/TNLA was held on the morning of July 19 at the meeting hall of the Shwe Inn San Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw. Representatives attending the meeting included NSPNC Chairman Lieutenant General Yar Pyae, Secretary Lieutenant General Min Naing, and members of the coordination committee from the NSPNC, and from the PSLF/TNLA side, Vice-Chairman (1) Ta Juk Jar, Director of the General Administration Department Ta Gu Jar, Director of the Alliance Relations Department Ta Moe Hein, and members Ta Mai Mai, Ta Ni No Khro, and Ta Ku No. At the meeting, NSPNC Chairman Lieutenant General Yar Pyae stated that this was the first meeting in Nay Pyi Taw and expressed his desire for discussions to focus on regional stability and development, prioritizing long-term peace. He also stated that they would work in coordination on issues of education, health, and regional development for the people in the Ta'ang Palaung region. Furthermore, Lieutenant General Yar Pyae, Chairman of the NSPNC, said that since an elected government has now been formed, amendments to the constitution (2008) can also be undertaken, and urged for open discussions on areas where cooperation is possible regarding regional stability and development. Following this, Ta Juk Jar, Vice-Chairman (1) of the PSLF/TNLA, expressed gratitude for the invitation to discuss peace, stating great satisfaction with the invitation extended freely and without prior restrictions for the stability and development of the nation. He also noted that fighting has now ceased, and the people are beginning to experience peace, expressing confidence that the discussions today would yield positive and good results. Subsequently, attendees discussed cooperation on the State President and NSPNC's 100-day peace initiative program, respect and adherence to the Hpa-an Agreement, implementation of the agreed ceasefire agreement, improving the livelihoods of the people in their respective regions, finding political solutions to political problems, and ongoing efforts for continued cooperation in peace processes, as well as education, health, regional development, and transportation and communication. Following this, NSPNC Secretary Lieutenant General Min Naing explained the political needs through the peace process to build lasting peace, discussed regional development matters, and clarified the situation of previous meetings with the PSLF/TNLA. It was reported that after coordinating to record the discussions of both sides, a record was signed. Finally, Ta Juk Jar, Vice-Chairman (1) of the PSLF/TNLA, delivered words of thanks, and NSPNC Chairman Lieutenant General Yar Pyae gave concluding remarks, after which commemorative gifts were exchanged and the meeting was concluded.
