Indonesia's state-owned oil company, Pertamina, announced an adjustment to the price of its environmentally friendly bioethanol-blended fuel, Pertamax Green 95, effective September 2, 2026. PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has announced an adjustment to the price of its non-subsidized fuel product, Pertamax Green 95, effective September 2, 2026, at 00:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). This price adjustment follows the previous adjustments made to several other non-subsidized fuel products, including Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex, and Dexlite. VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, stated that the price adjustment for Pertamax Green 95 is part of a broader recalibration of non-subsidized fuel prices. "Starting September 2, 2026, Pertamina Patra Niaga is adjusting the price of Pertamax Green 95. This adjustment follows the prices of several Non-Subsidized fuel products that have been made previously," Kitty said, as quoted from an official statement on Tuesday (1/9/2026). The price of Pertamax Green 95 has been adjusted from Rp 16,600 to Rp 19,150 per liter, an increase of Rp 2,550 per liter. Kitty emphasized that this price adjustment does not alter Pertamina Patra Niaga's commitment to maintaining product quality and providing the best service to consumers. Pertamax Green 95 is a fuel product with a Research Octane Number (RON) of 95, developed with a blend of bioethanol as part of efforts to support the development of more sustainable energy in Indonesia. Pertamina Patra Niaga urges the public to use fuel products that match their vehicle specifications to ensure optimal performance. Previously, Pertamina's fuel prices were adjusted starting September 1, 2026. Three non-subsidized fuel products, namely Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex, experienced price increases, while Pertamax 92 and Pertamax Green 95 remained unchanged. However, with this latest announcement, Pertamax Green 95 is now also subject to a price hike. Pertamina explained that the price adjustments are based on a formula set by the government, taking into account indicators such as global crude oil prices, Rupiah exchange rates, and the public's purchasing power and social conditions. "The price adjustment is carried out only for some non-subsidized fuel products, namely Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex, and Dexlite, while other non-subsidized fuel products such as Pertamax 92 and Pertamax Green 95 do not experience price adjustments," she said in a written statement on Monday (31/8/2026). "This is done by considering the economy, purchasing power, and social conditions of the community," she added. With the adjustments, the price of Pertamax Turbo increased from Rp 18,300 to Rp 19,600 per liter. A larger increase occurred for diesel fuel types. The price of Dexlite rose from Rp 19,700 to Rp 23,700 per liter, while Pertamina Dex increased from Rp 21,150 to Rp 25,200 per liter. Pertamina ensures that these price adjustments do not change the company's commitment to maintaining product quality and providing services to consumers.
