Indonesia Raises Fuel Prices Again, Including Eco-Friendly Options

Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina, has announced another adjustment to the prices of some of its non-subsidized fuels, effective September 2, 2026. This latest price hike follows similar adjustments made on September 1 for fuels such as Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex. Notably, Pertamax Green 95, an eco-friendly fuel blended with bioethanol, will also see its price revised starting September 2. VP of Corporate Communication at Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, stated that the price adjustment for Pertamax Green 95 is part of a broader review of non-subsidized fuel prices. Previously priced at Rp 16,600 per liter, Pertamax Green 95 will now increase by Rp 2,550 to Rp 19,150 per liter. Andhora emphasized that these price adjustments do not alter Pertamina Patra Niaga's commitment to maintaining product quality and providing excellent service to consumers. Pertamax Green 95 is a Research Octane Number (RON) 95 fuel developed with bioethanol as part of Indonesia's efforts to support sustainable energy development.
