Cambodian Authorities Locate Missing Singaporean Woman
Cambodian Ministry of Interior authorities have located a missing Singaporean woman following a report from her father. The woman was found safe in a Phnom Penh condominium and confirmed not to be a victim of human trafficking or abuse. She stated personal family issues led her to travel to Cambodia and cut off contact with her family.
The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior has confirmed that following a request for intervention from the parents of a Singaporean woman, authorities from the Ministry of Interior and the Phnom Penh Municipal Police immediately launched a search operation. Cambodian police officers eventually located the woman in a condominium and confirmed that she was not a victim of human trafficking or torture. The woman explained that personal family issues led her to decide to travel to Cambodia and cut off all contact with her family. She is currently safe and under the care of Cambodian specialized authorities. Under the high direction of National Police Chief General Sao Sokha, the Phnom Penh Municipal Police collaborated closely with the Department of Anti-Terrorism and Transnational Crimes of the National Police General Commissariat to search for a Singaporean woman who had been reported missing by her father to the Singaporean police. The Singaporean woman, Siti Aishan Siregar binte Siregar, was found on July 31, 2026, in a condominium named Tuol Kork Lane, located in Sen Sok District, Phnom Penh. According to initial questioning results, she stated that she was not happy with her parents and traveled to Cambodia on July 28, 2026, via flight EK348.
