Cambodia Initiates UNCLOS Compulsory Conciliation Over Maritime Dispute with Thailand

Cambodia has initiated compulsory conciliation under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) to resolve the Overlapping Claims Area (OCA) dispute with Thailand. Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed regret over Thailand's withdrawal from a 2001 MoU and emphasized peaceful resolution through international law.
