President Arrives in Thailand for Official Visit

A high-level Myanmar delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing departed from Nay Pyi Taw Airport on a special flight on Thursday morning for an Official Visit to Thailand at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul. The high-level Myanmar delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing was seen off at the airport by Vice President Daw Nan Ni Ni Aye, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U Khin Yi and high-ranking officials as well as the officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Myanmar. Union Ministers and officials accompanied the President on the trip. The special flight carrying the high-level Myanmar delegation led by the President arrived at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok at around 9:20 AM local time. They were warmly welcomed at the airport by a high-level delegation led by Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, along with senior officials, as well as the Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand and embassy officials. During the reception, in accordance with the ceremonial custom of welcoming heads of state, the Royal Thai Armed Forces Guard of Honor formed up on both sides of the red carpet to salute, and a 21-gun salute was fired by the artillery honor guard to extend a warm welcome to President U Min Aung Hlaing.
