State Counsellor Senior General Min Aung Hlaing arrives in Thailand

At the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, a Myanmar delegation led by State Counsellor Senior General Min Aung Hlaing arrived at Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok on the morning of August 6 (local time) for an official visit to Thailand, and was welcomed by an honor guard. The Myanmar delegation led by the State Counsellor was welcomed by high-ranking officials and responsible persons led by the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, the Ambassador of Myanmar to Thailand and his wife, the Defense Attaché and his wife, and embassy staff from the Myanmar Embassy and the Defense Attaché's office. The delegation accompanying the State Counsellor included Union Ministers U Khin Maung Ri, U Tin Maung Swe, U Ko Ko Lwin, U Khin Maung Soe, U Htun Ohn, Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo, Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo, Deputy Ministers, and responsible persons. During the visit, the State Counsellor is scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister of Thailand and hold bilateral discussions, meet with the interim President of the Senate of Thailand, and receive representatives from economic organizations. He is also expected to attend the Myanmar-Thailand Economic Forum. It is understood that during the visit, matters related to strengthening the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Thailand, and matters related to cooperation in economic, cultural, and all other sectors between the governments and peoples of the two countries will be discussed through frank exchanges of views.
