ERC Suspends Grid Charges for Battery Storage During Energy Emergencies

The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) in the Philippines will temporarily suspend power delivery service (PDS) charges for electricity sourced from energy storage systems (ESS), such as batteries, during declared national energy emergencies. This aims to incentivize the use of ESS to draw power from the grid and supply consumers during critical shortages.
