Tifauzia Tyassuma, also known as Dr. Tifa, who is accused in the case of alleged fake diplomas of Indonesian President Joko Widodo, stated that she will undergo her doctoral dissertation defense on Friday (3/7). She mentioned that the dissertation exam will be held the day after her first hearing in the Jokowi diploma case on Thursday (2/7). "I am preparing for the exam the day after tomorrow. The day after tomorrow is my dissertation defense, so I will face two exams consecutively. Tomorrow, a legal hearing, the day after, a medical exam," Tifa said on Head to Head CNN Indonesia, Wednesday (1/7). Tifa stated that she and Roy Suryo remain solid in facing this case. She mentioned that they have known each other for a long time, and it is impossible for them to go separate ways just because of this case. "Yes, we are facing two different trials, one in South Jakarta, one in East Jakarta. But that does not mean we will go separate ways," she said. Dr. Tifa was previously arrested in connection with this case before being released. One of Dr. Tifa's legal team members, Azis Yanuar, stated that his client was about to take her doctoral program (S3) dissertation exam at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, when she was arrested. Azis said that Dr. Tifa was arrested at her apartment on Friday (19/6) around 06:47 AM Western Indonesian Time (WIB). After being arrested, Dr. Tifa was immediately taken to the Polda Metro Jaya (Metropolitan Police). Azis added that despite being arrested, Dr. Tifa still participated in her dissertation exam online.
