Three Suspects Arrested for Motorcycle Robbery in Sen Sok District, Phnom Penh
Three suspects, aged 16 to 17, have been arrested in Phnom Penh's Sen Sok district in connection with a motorcycle robbery. The suspects were found to be under the influence of narcotics, raising renewed concerns about youth drug abuse and deteriorating public safety.
In Phnom Penh's Sen Sok district, three young suspects aged between 16 and 17 have been apprehended in connection with a motorcycle robbery. The operation was carried out under the command of Major General Chuon Narith, Deputy Commissioner General and Commissioner of Phnom Penh Municipal Police. The arrests were made by the Criminal Investigation Department, led by Brigadier General Bun Sathya, Deputy Commissioner in charge of criminal affairs, Major General Nheung Ros, Deputy Commissioner in charge of the Serious Crimes Division, and Colonel Eng Sophal, Director of the Serious Crimes Office. The operation was a response to a robbery that occurred on July 28, 2026, along Duong Leap Road in Trom Moan Village, Ou Bek Kdam Commune, Sen Sok District, Phnom Penh. The three suspects are identified as: 1. Bun Thun Visal, male, 17 years old, Cambodian, with no fixed occupation and tested positive for narcotics. 2. Ban Menghor, male, 17 years old, Cambodian, with no fixed occupation and tested positive for narcotics. 3. Sotharin Virun, male, 16 years old, Cambodian, unemployed and tested positive for narcotics. The seized evidence includes a white SUZUKI NEX motorcycle. Currently, the suspects and evidence have been handed over to the specialized criminal police force for legal proceedings.
