Over 60% of Filipinos Experienced Cybersecurity Incidents in 2024, PSA Survey Reveals

A survey by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) revealed that 62.5% of Filipinos using Information and Communications Technology (ICT) devices in 2024, approximately 24.28 million individuals, experienced at least one cybersecurity incident. SMS fraud was the most prevalent, affecting 57.1% of victims. Awareness of cybersecurity issues was higher in urban areas and among those with higher education.
