Cambodian Senator Visits Kandal Province, Distributes Aid and Announces Digital Scholarships

Mam Bunneang, Chairman of the Senate's Committee for Scrutiny, Elimination of Corruption, and Public Campaign (Committee 10) and Head of the Senate Working Group for Region 3, on July 19, 2026, visited Trapeang Veng Commune, Kandal Sting District, Kandal Province. He was accompanied by Sok Samnang, Assistant to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and Honorary President of the Cambodian Movement Therapy Doctors Association, and colleagues. During the visit, the delegation presented valuable gifts from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Ketti Preah Pundit, along with humanitarian aid from the Universal Life Saving Sharing Foundation of the Republic of Korea, including medicines, clothing, and other essential supplies. These were distributed to the commune authorities and a total of 236 residents in Trapeang Veng Commune. In his remarks, Mam Bunneang conveyed warm greetings from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Ketti Preah Pundit, as well as from Uch Borivuth, First Vice-President, and Dr. Thon Vathana, Second Vice-President of the Senate. He emphasized that they always care about the well-being and living conditions of the people. The Senator highly praised the leadership of Trapeang Veng Commune administration for their efforts in providing public services to the people and developing the local area effectively. He encouraged officials and citizens, especially the youth, to strive to enhance their capacities, self-reliance, and self-dependence to develop themselves, improve their family economies, and contribute to the defense, construction, and development of our nation to be strong, honorable, and dignified. On this occasion, Mam Bunneang announced the provision of 100% Senate digital scholarships for 100 youths and students from Trapeang Veng Commune. The studies will be conducted online through the Cambodian Digital Intelligence Institute, an institution recognized for its quality education both nationally and internationally.
