New electricity meters can be applied for via website

Starting from the upcoming August 15, new electricity meters can be applied for through the website, the Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced on July 30. Citizens who wish to use electricity but do not yet have a meter will be able to apply through the website to the head office, with the aim of enabling them to obtain the necessary new electricity meters for household, commercial, and industrial purposes quickly, and to avoid the involvement of intermediaries and staff, thereby saving time and expenses. The announcement states that only by continuously renovating and maintaining the electricity-related infrastructure invested by the state from the production of electricity to its delivery to the public, and upgrading it in accordance with evolving technologies, can citizens use electricity with full quality, and that only appropriate fees will have to be paid for such implementation. Regarding payment, it is stated that no additional costs will be incurred, and only the officially prescribed fees will have to be paid online to the designated account. Therefore, those who wish to install a meter can apply by visiting www.moee.gov.mm, and if the application meets the specifications of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, the meter will be installed as soon as possible, according to the announcement.
