Prabowo Attends PKB's 28th Anniversary Celebration Amidst Political Realignment

President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended the climax of the 28th anniversary celebration of the National Awakening Party (PKB) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Thursday (23/7) night. Prabowo arrived wearing a white shirt, while Gibran wore a long-sleeved batik shirt. They entered the venue accompanied by PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, who wore a light green PKB suit. Several elite leaders from other major parties also attended the event. These included Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Daily Chairman of Gerindra; Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Chairman of the Democratic Party; Bahlil Lahadalia, Chairman of Golkar; Zulkifli Hasan, Chairman of PAN; Al Muzammil Yusuf, President of PKS; and Djarot Syaiful Hidayat, an elite figure from PDIP. PKB had invited President Prabowo to the peak event of its 28th anniversary celebration held in Jakarta. Rivqy Abdul Halim, Secretary of the 28th Anniversary Committee, had previously stated that the President would deliver a speech at the occasion. "The peak event will be held on the evening of July 23rd, which, God willing, will be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia along with all leaders of friendly political parties," Rivqy Abdul Halim said at the PKB DPP office in Jakarta on Monday (6/7). Prabowo and Gibran's presence at the PKB event is seen as a significant political gesture, potentially signaling a strengthening of ties with the party that supported Prabowo's presidential bid.
