Vietnam and France Enhance Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

Vietnam and France have cultivated a strong relationship since establishing diplomatic ties in 1973. This comprehensive strategic partnership has seen a trend towards further enhancement in recent years. Recently, Vietnamese President To Lam (also General Secretary of the Communist Party) commenced an official visit to the French Republic. This visit also includes his participation in the Space Summit held in Paris, and is expected to inject new momentum into bilateral relations. This high-level exchange is positioned as a historic step in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and France. It is seen as paving the way for the development of more substantial and breakthrough cooperation, particularly in the economic, trade, and investment sectors. Vietnam, a socialist republic under a single-party system, prioritizes economic growth.
