Narcotics worth K1.4369 billion seized in Taungoo Township

Narcotics worth K1.4369 billion were seized in Taungoo Township, according to the Anti-Narcotics Police Force. Around 4 PM on August 30, the Anti-Narcotics Police Force, acting on information and accompanied by witnesses, apprehended Pan Aung (aka Aung Pe) and Manaw Htay Htay Soe near Ward 22 in Taungoo Township. They were found with a TOYOTA IPSUM and a TOYOTA ALPHARD vehicle. Heroin weighing 6.34 kilograms (local market value K219 million), 810,000 methamphetamine tablets (local market value K1.215 billion), and two mobile phones were discovered and seized. In connection with this incident, Pan Aung (aka Aung Pe), aged 39, and Manaw Htay Htay Soe, aged 20, have been charged and are being prosecuted at the Taungoo Township Myoma Police Station under the Law Relating to Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. The Anti-Narcotics Police Force stated that investigations into accomplices are ongoing.
