
88 Cities, Municipalities Under State of Calamity Due to Habagat, Cyclones
A total of 88 cities and municipalities in the Philippines have declared a state of calamity due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and tropical cyclones Luis and Maymay. Agricultural damage in Pampanga alone has reached P1.4 billion, with residents struggling with recurring floods. Bataan province is also considering a coastal defense system.
